The Movement Continues: Reflecting on 2024

This year, The New Philanthropists (TNP) stood its ground on changing an old idea, this idea that nonprofits do charity work or that board leaders provide charity for communities – the work that nonprofits do is justice work; we are serving to rectify the historical wrongdoing and inequities to fill the gaps. So, for 2024, we want to thank our supporters for the justice work we did together!

To check out our full impact for the year, read more in our 2024 Impact report here.

We also want to recognize that TNP, its community partners, and Legacy Leadership Circle have championed a “Navigating Change” series to emphasize the critical thought leadership and coalition building needed now more than ever.

Shifting cultural climates across the United States, particularly in Texas, have significantly influenced the landscape of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Texas, renowned for its diversity and rich cultural tapestry, has faced a complex environment, but instead of being defeated, we have stood firm in driving meaningful change despite the obstacles.

As a thought leader in DEI, it becomes essential to stay informed about these changes while articulating a vision that aligns with the core values of inclusion and respect for all individuals. The goal is not just to respond to challenges but to lead discussions that reshape perceptions and foster understanding. We look forward to digging into this work even more in 2025.

If you are interested in supporting the work of TNP with an end-of-year or monthly donation of $10, $50, $100, or $250 to join the NEW CREW, you can do that here!
