TAKE THE LEAD – DURATION: 1.5 HOURS
Take the Lead is a Board Service Introduction workshop that focuses on the diversity gaps on nonprofit boards, why it’s important to serve on a board, the benefits of board service and how your leadership will impact the communities the organization serves.
AN INTRODUCTION TO INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP – DURATION: 1.5 HOURS
An Introduction to Inclusive Leadership is designed to help participants understand the importance and value behind leading with inclusion. This training is focused on an introduction of diversity, equity and inclusion practices and insights that lead you to begin or enhance your journey as an inclusive leader.
THE EQUITY CHAIR PART 1 – DURATION: 2.5 HOURS
The Equity Chair workshop is designed to prepare, support and elevate new and experienced board members of color, and allies, for their role as governing members on nonprofit boards. This training is focused on disrupting board norms and learning how to navigate mainstream nonprofits through a cultural conscious perspective.
THE EQUITY CHAIR PART 2 – DURATION: 4 HOURS
Part 2 of the Equity Chair workshop is designed to help participants take active roles as inclusive leaders in order to engage board members in diversity, equity and inclusion practices and values. This training is focused on understanding the characteristics of an inclusive leader and how to create cultural shifts on your board through your leadership.
LGBTQ+ INCLUSIVITY: HOW TO CREATE A SAFE INCLUSIVE SPACE – DURATION: 1.5 HOURS
The LGBTQ+ Inclusivity workshop brings deep meaning into inclusive language, the importance of leveraging your position by using inclusive language, actions you can take to make this an equitable practice and developing your own SOGIE spectrum.
AUSTIN HISTORY 2.0 – DURATION: 1.5 HOURS
Austin History 2.0 is not your ordinary history lesson. This session takes a deep dive into Austin’s history told through historical experiences of communities of color and how their history shaped the Austin we live in today.
POWER DYNAMICS & PRIVILEGE – DURATION: 2 HOURS
This session identifies the different types of power dynamics and the cause and effects, as well as how to move from power hoarding to power sharing practices within leadership circles.
HONORING LIVED EXPERIENCE – DURATION: 2 HOURS
This session defines what is lived experience, the value it brings to leadership circles and how you can prioritize these skill sets in your leadership.
THE HISTORY OF PHILANTHROPY: CHARITY TO JUSTICE – DURATION: 2 HOURS
The History of Philanthropy takes participants through the origins of the first nonprofit in history, the wealth divide and its impact on communities and how together we can change philanthropy from charity to justice.
